There are just two months left until our annual Johnson Family Reunion at the Thomas House Hotel in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee.

We have reserved the dining room for supper on Saturday, June 7, 2008. We need to have 50 reservations to have the entire dining room to ourselves.  We had about 30 at last year’s dinner.  So, it is possible for us to fill the Thomas House dining room.  I need to give final numbers to Mrs. Cole by Tuesday, May 27th.  Thank you to those of you have mailed in your reservation.  If you have not yet sent in your reservation, please do so by Friday, May 23rd.  Cut the reservation form below from this newsletter and mail with your check payable to Karen Davis. This Saturday night arrangement will still allow time for those who would like to visit family cemetaries and other sites and then come together to continue our visit at the Thomas House at 5:00pm for supper and a night full of visiting.  We are encouraged to stay until we give out.

The cost is $15.00 per adult. Children under 10 are $7.50 each.  These prices include Tennessee sales tax and a tip for our servers.

Staying overnight at the Thomas House

If you need to make room reservations for your overnight stay in Red Boiling Springs, we encourage you to stay at the Thomas House.  Rita and I took a tour of the hotel a couple of weeks ago.  They have

some vary spacious, beautiful accomodations.  The costs for staying at the hotel are:

Double Occupancy including 2 meals (supper and breakfast) -- $100

Double Occupancy no meals -- $60

Be sure to mention, when making your room reservations, that you are part of the Johnson Family Reunion group and they will adjust your bill to account for your purchase through me of Saturday night’s supper.

Johnson Family Slideshow

We have also reserved the meeting room on the first floor of the Thomas House.  We will spread our photo albums and other famliy histories on the conference table and will use this area to show the “Johnson Family Slideshow”. 

Please send me -- either by mail or e-mail -- any photos you have in your collection of our Johnson ancestors. Deadline for submitting any pictures is May 23rd!. Be sure to include the following information with all your photos:

1. The names of everyone in the photo

2. The date and location or occasion of the photo

3. Your name.  I want to be certain to return the photos to the correct person.
